Raffaella Camera, Head of Market & Innovation Strategy, Global, Accenture Extended Reality (XR): Raffaella Camera is part of the Accenture Extended Reality (XR) practice and serves as Head of Market & Innovation Strategy, Global.

Joining Accenture in February 2017, Ms. Camera shapes virtual reality and augmented reality (VR/AR) offerings, directs the strategy for the creation of XR experiences, manages direct sales in collaboration with internal account teams, oversees indirect sales through the development of assets such as case studies and demos, develops partnerships with external content creators, and leverages partnerships with the VR/AR ecosystem to create revenue opportunities. Ms. Camera brings 20 years of experience in growing and promoting businesses in the digital ecosystem and direct experience in AR, VR, live video, social and ecommerce. As a business development, strategy, partnership and account management leader, she has helped grow advertising agencies and strategic corporate divisions of digital, entertainment, advertising, ecommerce and emerging technology companies. Within the digital space, Ms. Camera has sold and created digital campaigns (websites, mobile, display, earned media, SEO, SEM, social); defined, set up and run ecommerce businesses (corporate and startups); developed and run partnerships for a recognition-based and AR/VR-based mobile platform; created launch plans and partnerships for live video-based social platforms; and set up the digital partnerships portfolio for an entertainment company. Over her career, Ms. Camera has acquired and managed more than $200 million in business for clients and partners, including major retailers, consumer goods and services, broadcast media companies, automotive manufacturers, and travel and leisure companies. She has also been a key participant in raising and closing $40 million+ in funding. Ms. Camera has won multiple awards in advertising and emerging technology, including Best VR Branded Entertainment at VR Fest, Communication Arts, Webby, and IDG’s DEMOgod Award for Best AR Retail Shopping solution.  An MBA graduate of University of Southern California (USC) Marshall School of Business, Ms. Camera also holds a masters of piano performance from the USC Thornton School of Music and undergraduate degrees from universities in Italy. As a former concert pianist, Ms. Camera performed at a variety of concert halls in Europe and received her SAG membership in the US.

 

Laura Martin received her B.A. from Stanford and her MBA from Harvard Business School, and she is a CFA and CMT. Martin began her career at Drexel Burnham Lambert in media investment banking, followed by Capital Research & Management, where she advised $100 billion and managed a $500 million portfolio of media stocks. She moved to Credit Suisse First Boston in 1994 as the senior media analyst, where she was nationally ranked by Institutional Investor between 1999 and 2001. In 2002, Martin moved to Paris to become EVP of Financial Strategy and Investor Relations for Vivendi Universal. In 2004, she founded Media Metrics, LLC publishing equity research on the largest entertainment, cable and Internet stocks in the U.S., where she was nationally ranked as “Best of the Independent Research Boutiques” by Institutional Investor for many years. In 2009, Martin moved to Needham & Company, where she publishes research on the largest Internet and Entertainment companies.

 

Ted Schilowitz, Futurist, Paramount Pictures: Ted spends his time in a unique role in the motion picture entertainment industry. As the Futurist at Paramount pictures, Ted works with studio leadership and the technology teams at Paramount / Viacom, exploring forms of new and emerging technologies, with an emphasis on Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. Prior to joining Paramount, Ted was the Futurist at 20th Century Fox, where he worked on the evolving art, science and technology of advanced interactive visual storytelling. He was part of the creation team for the Martian VR and Wild VR experiences, which premiered at CES and Sundance as groundbreaking projects that pushed the envelope of Virtual Reality storytelling. Ted was an integral part of the product development team at RED Digital Cinema as a founding member and the company’s first employee. The Red One and Epic cameras have made a significant impact on the Motion Picture Industry, with many of the world’s biggest movies now being shot with these ultra high resolution digital movie cameras. Ted is one of the founders and creators of the G-Tech product line of advanced hard drive storage products. As one of the most recognized brands in that industry, they are implemented worldwide at the highest levels on cinema, episodic television, sports and news production. Before being part of the founding teams at RED Digital Cinema and G-Tech, Ted was on the team that developed and launched the Macintosh desktop video division of AJA Video Systems, creating professional video products in tandem with Apple. These products are used on a massive scale worldwide for video production and post at the highest levels, on many of the world’s biggest movies, TV series and sporting events. Ted has presented worldwide at numerous conferences on the advancements in next generation visual experiences for the movie, television and, interactive entertainment industries. He’s been featured in Wired, Variety, NY Times, LA Times, Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, NBC, CNET, Studio Daily, Videography, Film and Video, DV Magazine, TV Technology, HD Video Pro, Engadget, Gizmodo, Millimeter, American Cinematographer, MacWorld, Post Magazine, Popular Science, and countless other publications discussing his areas of passion and exploration.

 

David Aufhauser, Managing Director of Intel Sports, is responsible for leading strategic partnerships, Intel Sports’ Olympic business and product activation with customers across the media industry. Aufhauser joined Intel in 2016 as part of the acquisition of VOKE, a live sports and entertainment virtual reality company where he served as Chief Strategy and Product Officer responsible for driving the company’s strategic vision and bringing immersive virtual reality experiences to market with customers including the Olympics, NBA, NFL, MLB, PGA Tour, La Liga and more. Before joining VOKE, Aufhauser was a founding member of the Pac-12 Networks’ executive team. As General Manager and Vice President of Pac-12 Digital, he led all aspects of the Pac-12’s digital business including products, technology, content, distribution and revenue. Earlier in his career, David served various leadership roles at iconic digital media companies including Justin.tv (Twitch; acquired by Amazon), Yahoo!, Bebo (acquired by AOL), Evite (acquired by IAC), Netscape (acquired by AOL), and Momentum (acquired by McCann/Interpublic Group.). David earned his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and his MBA from Kellogg at Northwestern University. A water polo player at Stanford, David is now an avid basketball player and Gold Medalist as a member of the United States masters team at multiple Maccabi Games.

 

Patrick Costello, Senior Director of Business Development at Qualcomm Technologies Inc., is responsible for building partnerships with strategic multimedia partners in the sports and entertainment verticals.  In support of Qualcomm’s XR business, Patrick leads engagements with film studios, sports leagues, OEM’s, and ISV’s to drive content partnerships and traction for Qualcomm’s broader technology portfolio. Prior to joining Qualcomm, Patrick led business development for Kyocera Wireless in emerging markets like India, Indonesia, Thailand, and other markets in MEA and SEA.  Following completion of his International Relations degree from the University of San Diego in 1995, Patrick obtained his MBA from San Diego State University.

 

Aaron Luber leads content partnerships for Google’s AR and VR efforts — Daydream and Tango. Aaron’s journey began with launching YouTube360 first as a 20% project and then to a live product in March 2015. During that time, Aaron transitioned from YouTube to the Cardboard team and has been working to bring VR, and now AR, to the masses. Probably the most impressive surprise has been the incredible brand engagement and eagerness for companies (such as the NFL, EA, Mattel, IMAX, Disney and The New York Times) to work with Cardboard, Daydream and Tango. Aaron has been core in leading each of these partnerships for Google and many more. These partnerships have been able to deliver on great content, while building towards the mission of delivering innovative AR/VR experiences to the masses.

 

Tony Parisi is a virtual reality pioneer, serial entrepreneur and angel investor. He is the co-creator of 3D graphics standards, including VRML, X3D and glTF, the new file format standard for 3D web and mobile applications. Tony is the author of O’Reilly Media’s books on Virtual Reality and WebGL: Learning Virtual Reality (2015), Programming 3D Applications in HTML5 and WebGL (2014), and WebGL Up and Running (2012). Tony has become one of the leading spokespeople for the immersive industry, speaking on industry trends and technology innovations in virtual and augmented reality at numerous industry conferences. He was recently named in Next Reality’s 30 People to Watch in Augmented Reality in 2019. Tony is currently Head of AR/VR Ad Innovation at Unity Technologies, where he oversees the company’s strategy for virtual and augmented reality brand advertising and monetization.
