Tina Walsh is the VP of Content Strategy at Tongal where she develops strategic, long-term partnerships with brands. Additionally, Walsh contributes to the growth and development of Tongal’s toys and kids’ entertainment vertical, and designs and executes content plans across other clientele initiatives. Walsh joins• Tongal from Hasbro, where she served as Head of Digital Content. Prior to Hasbro, she worked at Reebok where she established the brand’s early digital and ambassador strategies.

 

Gwen Miller is the VP of Content Strategy for Kin. She runs the social media, distribution, marketing, data, business development and talent relations teams and is tasked with creating a culture where every team member is empowered to use data-driven strategy to create digital video content that audiences love. Previously, Gwen was Director of Audience Development for ICON, a lifestyle digital joint venture between production company Endemol Shine and digital video entrepreneur Michelle Phan. At ICON, Gwen was responsible for developing content strategies that created the most satisfying experiences for existing audiences, while also increasing reach with new audiences. Other past roles include Discovery Networks, Cesar Millan, Inc., and a variety of other entertainment companies in the Los Angeles area. Gwen’s areas of strategic interest include management of digital video teams, content strategy, audience growth, best-practice development, data-driven analysis, and seeing how many books it's feasible to read in one year (at last count: 240).

 

David B. Williams, SVP & GM, Channels, pocket.watch: As GM/SVP of Channels, David is charged with winning fans and growing pocket.watch franchises on short-form platforms. With twenty-five years at the frontiers of digital media, he comes to the role lavishly prepared. As part of Maker Studios’ senior leadership, David led the esteemed talent team and engineered marquee content initiatives. Prior highlights include serving as Chief Content and Technology Strategist for Endemol Beyond USA, co-founding venture-backed Take180 with Chris, leading digital teams at Disney, and developing a patented technology that powered fan-driven initiatives for franchises such as Star Trek and Toy Story and earned the honor of Interactive Emmy Award finalist for The L Word. An early digital entrepreneur, in 1996 David founded a digital-first entertainment studio where he went on to develop the world’s first major animated web series and licensed it to Showtime Networks.

 

David Tochterman, CEO, Canvas Media Studios: David is an Emmy-nominated executive and producer with a record of launching award-winning television and digital properties.  Prior to founding Canvas, David was a digital strategy consultant for ABC, PBS and Starz, and a partner in the production company Pemberley Digital, winners of two Interactive Emmy Awards for video adaptations of literary classics on YouTube.  In television, David has developed and produced programming for all major networks. He was EVP of Will Smith's Overbrook Entertainment and SVP of the Carsey Werner Company, where he developed hit shows including That 70's Show, 3rd Rock From the Sun, and was an Executive Producer of Grace Under Fire.  His first job in Hollywood was the director's assistant on the pilot of Seinfeld.

 

Christopher Rudy is the Chief Strategy Officer and a co-founder of Cut.com, where he evaluates and capitalizes on new business opportunities on the digital video frontier. Holding a JD from Boston University School of Law, "Rudy" began his career in the entertainment industry at ICM, a top talent agency in Hollywood, and eventually served as VP of Talent at Collab. There, he helped turn Collab’s long list of digital creators into their own legible, marketable brands. With a comprehensive knowledge of traditional and new media’s protocols and business networks, Rudy identifies strategic partnerships with talent, brands, platforms, and other media publishers to position Cut.com at the vanguard of this new era in video.

 

Jonathan Skogmo is Founder and CEO of Jukin Media. He is executive producer of "World’s Funniest" on FOX, "Now That’s Funny!" on Channel 5 (UK), and the international TV series "Fail Army," which airs in more than 221 territories worldwide. Prior to Jukin, Skogmo produced shows on MTV, CMT, Discovery, and truTV. As Founder and CEO of Jukin Media, Skogmo oversees all day-to-day operations of the company, including licensing, syndication, acquisitions, programming and production. The company receives more than one billion monthly views across digital platforms, and it licenses video content to premiere entertainment networks, publishers, brands and platforms throughout the world. Jukin Media has more than 120 employees, with operations in Los Angeles, New York and London. Jonathan is a member of the Producers Guild of America and the Young Presidents’ Organization, he’s on the Board of Directors of AMCUP, and he holds a degree in Film and Television from Columbia College. He resides in Los Angeles.

 

Will Campbell is CEO at Quantasy, an award winning digital agency. Since its founding in 2011, Quantasy’s team of digital strategists, storytellers, designers, developers and social media experts have developed innovative advertising campaigns with dynamic messaging that connects top brands with their audiences. Clients include top entertainment companies like Google, Lionsgate and WME, as well as brands such as American Honda and Google. Additionally, the company has developed creative and digital content for Hollywood’s top talent like Kevin Hart, Steve Harvey and Magic Johnson Enterprises. As CEO, Will focuses on leading strategic media and technology initiatives across emerging platforms, leveraging the worlds of advertising, entertainment, technology and culture.

 

Evan Weiss, Consulting Partner, Bottle Rocket Management: 2015- Present:  Founder of Red Sun Entertainment: Red Sun Entertainment is a talent management and production company focusing on convergence of traditional media platforms with emerging digital platforms and premium content from high end creative artists. Digital clients include Jesse Ridgway/Mcjuggernuggets, Tanner Braungardt, Dom DeAngelis, Boogie2988, Elliott Morgan, Steve Zaragoza, The Beach House/Pins and Things, Freakin Rad, Hannah Cranston/Think Tank as well as radio superstars Big Boy and Jason Ellis and television showrunners Chuck Tatham and Don Foster and directing superstar Gary Halvorson. Production projects include Streamy Award Winning "Psycho Family" for Complex/go90 and "Bad Influencers" for Fullscreen. Applying his skills and experience to capitalize on the large scale audience aggregation capabilities of YouTube, Evan was integral to the formation of Collective Digital Studio and its metamorphosis into Studio71. When Evan left to form RSE in 2015, Studio71 was a full-fledged media company accounting for 3.5 billion views per month of premium video content from its exclusive family of creator-partners.  Evan has spearheaded initiatives with major brands such as Estee Lauder, Verizon, MTV, Spike, Universal Records, Conde Nast, and NBCUniversal. Evan was prophetic in  professing that premium broadcasters, brands and publishers should all be heavily invested in building and maintaining relevance through innovative content initiatives on an array of digital social media platforms. At CDS, Evan also managed a diverse roster of clients, including innovative YouTube creators and traditional television writers and directors. Clients include Gary Halvorson, Chuck Tatham, Don Foster, Jon Ross, Frank Lombardi and Big Boy; as well as digital icons Lucas Cruikshank, Elliott Morgan, Steve Zaragoza, Alex and Roi of Wassabi, Jaboody Dubs, E and P Hudson, Paint, Jesse Ridgeway/McJuggerNuggets and Hollywire TV. Evan made  the deal bringing LA radio icon Big Boy to iHeart Media and their Real 92.3 brand in the LA market and Premiere Radio Networks on a national level. When Evan joined the Collective in 2009, with an emphasis on overseeing the company’s television operations and development, he pivoted into the modern age of digital creators by signing a breakthrough deal with internet sensation Lucas Cruikshank, creator and performer of the YouTube character “Fred Figglehorn.” Lucas and “Fred” went on to be the first YouTube channel to reach one million subscribers. Under Evan’s guidance, Lucas and his “Fred” property became the first-ever social media property to pivot into a successful mainstream motion picture franchise, spawning multiple sequels and an innovative series for Nickelodeon, co-financed and produced with Brian Robbins, who went on to form Awesomeness. The emphasis on digital platforms and audience building was a precursor to next phase of business development at The Collective. Evan also packaged and Executive Produced the hit TV series, “Marvin Marvin” for Nickelodeon. 2000-2008- Partner in Handprint Television: Evan founded Handprint TV with Handprint partners Jeff Pollock and Benny Medina; among the projects executive produced by Evan was The Tyra Banks Show, with Telepictures; "Pamela: Girl on the Run" with E!; "The Show: With AJ Calloway" for UPN;  ABC comedy “In The Game” starring Jennifer love Hewitt and Ed O’Neil: "The Crib" motion capture animation series for ABC/Disney, as well as other scripted and reality projects. 1992-2000 Head of Packaging United Talent Agency: Evan founded and ran the Television Packaging Dept. as an agent at UTA from 1992-2000 and worked with clients such as Drew Carey, Ben Stiller, Larry David, Gregory Hines and writers Chuck Tatham, Don Foster, Linwood Boomer, Gordon and Conn, Eddie Gorodetsky, Sam Simon, Jhoni Marchinko, Matt Goldman, Jon Beckerman, Rob Cohen, and Rodney Rothman and director/producers Gary Halvorson and Joel Gallen to name a few. 1986-1992 Vice President of Business Affairs and Production Finance, Walt Disney Television. After joining Disney as an attorney in 1986, Evan quickly rose up business affairs and eventually Vice President, working on deals and policy for the network television studio.  Projects included the hit ABC series Home Improvement. 1985-1986 Head of Business Affairs, The Gersh Agency: Evan ran business affairs department for this rapidly growing talent agency; oversaw all dealmaking across both motion pictures and television under mentor Bob Gersh. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, Evan was an Associate at boutique NYC  entertainment law firm Blumenthal and Lynne working under partner/mentors Michael Lynne and Richard Blumenthal.
