Matthew Celia, co-founder and Creative Director, , Light Sail VR: Matthew Celia is a creative visionary with over a decade of experience spanning technology, film production and entrepreneurial endeavors. Celia fuses his knack for crafting authentic narratives and technical prowess across all sectors of VR production to create compelling cinematic storytelling. His work has amplified the impact of immersive content for such top brands as Conde Nast

Entertainment, Refinery29, Paramount Pictures, and Google Small Business, among others. Celia studied Film Production at Chapman University, but discovered a predictive passion for VR during his grade school years by recreating Shakespeare’s Globe Theater into an interactive 3D Quicktime experience. An entrepreneur from early on, Celia spent his teenage years running his own graphic design company that funded his B.F.A degree. His diverse skillset and enterprising drive fueled a rapid break into the industry, helming projects for top clients including Warner Bros., NBC and Chevrolet, before launching Light Sail VR in 2015. Celia has also directed a feature-length documentary, “Off the Floor,” which experienced a successful festival run in the United States. Celia has provided expert insight as a speaker at such events as SXSW, NAB, VR Strategy Conference, VRLA, among many others.

 

Penka Kouneva, Leading Games Composer: Composer Penka Kouneva is known as an exceptional talent and "an artist of uncommon passion" (Billboard). Her scoring credits include the games Prince of Persia and Transformers, The Mummy VR game, mobile games, VR experiences and feature films (Sony Pictures' Devil's Whisper). Penka also composed for the American Astronauts on a $30M NASA exhibit Heroes and Legends, permanently housed at the Kennedy Space Center.  Her score for 3D films and AR installations was recorded with large orchestra. She is a Universal Music-released composer (The Woman Astronaut, Rebirth of Id). Penka is a winner of the Sundance Composer Fellowship, Game Audio Network Guild's 2015 Recognition Award and other honors. She is passionate about innovation, storytelling, and mentoring.

 

Danilo Moura Silva - VP Immersive Technologies, Experius VR: From voyages to the Moon, Mars, Egypt, Old Jerusalem and even a museum in his hometown of Brazil, Danilo’s volumetric virtual reality experiences have taken users on their most awe-inspiring journeys. Through his personally digitized environments using photogrammetry and laser scanning, Danilo’s decade-long passion for precision is unmistakable – and unstoppable. With a talent for perfecting pipelines, preserving source quality, and building multiple teams from the ground up, Danilo’s contributions have led to the development of countless games and interactive narratives in Hollywood for the past ten years. But his journey in VR/AR/MR, founded during his early R&D engineer days at Sony Pictures, is only just beginning. According to Danilo, “I believe we are marching towards a revolution in the way content is created for the new generation of Immersive devices. The perfect storm is coming! It's time to focus on volumetric solutions for an amazing simulated reality, where we can feel like we can be anywhere we want.” Danilo recently worked as Post Production supervisor for 7 Miracles. The first 8K VR full-length movie with 7 volumetric scenes. The 7 Miracles movie, shot in Italy and France,  just received the award of "Best VR Film Of The Festival" from Raindance Film Festival in London, UK  The movie will release in multiple VR platforms in 2019.

 

Travis Cloyd is an established cinematic VR/360 video producer, director, and marketing consultant, whose work and expertise is reflected throughout the film and entertainment worlds.  Most recently, Cloyd served as the virtual reality producer and director for Speed Kills, starring John Travolta. He also produced VR content for Distorted, starring John Cusack and Christina Ricci. A specialist at introducing celebrities into virtual reality, Cloyd has also produced VR content featuring Nicolas Cage, to accompany the recent film The Humanity Bureau, as well as with Wesley Snipes for his recently released action film, The Recall. Travis' pieces extend the cinematic universes, by providing engaging standalone experiences, as well as added dynamic marketing materials to entice larger audiences. A favorite partner of many high profile production companies Cloyd always strives to push the boundaries of what is possible with VR. Travis believes developing film VR apps and improving distribution will pave the way for film producers to monetize their multi-format content. For The Recall, Travis developed the first ever mobile app through his company OneTouch that can showcase both the VR and standard film for audiences. The app also supports live and on-demand video in 2D, 3D, 180/360-degree, and Barco Escape formats, and is compatible with spatial audio. Cloyd is committed to making his content accessible to audiences in an easy to use format.

 

Ilya Rozhkov is an award-winning director, born and raised in Moscow and one of the youngest members of the Director's Guild of Russia.  Moved to California in 2013 and attended New York Film Academy, Ilya's Wes-Andersoneque short film Sabre Dance (2015) starring Greg Louganis as Salvador Dali has won numerous awards, including "Best Picture" and "Best Director.” He partnered with the leading VR Studio Rogue Initiative on his debut VR Film, Agent Emerson- an immersive 360 degree first-person POV as the viewing audience is dropped into a visceral, action-packed cinematic experience that will allow them to live out a James Bond-esque storyline. He is currently developing a TV series as well as other feature films under his banner Serein.

 

Jason Yim is the CEO and Executive Creative Director of Trigger - The Mixed Reality Agency with offices in Los Angeles and Aarhus, Denmark. He has creatively led over 150,000 hours of development in mixed reality, including as a Snap Lens Studio Partner, showcase developer for Vuforia and Google, and as an early developer for Magic Leap. Jason’s recent high-profile work incorporates mixed reality in marketing (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), product development (Hotwheels - Augmoto), location-based experiences (Fish Designer for LEGO House) and Enterprise tools (AR Design Evaluation tool for Honda), all of which demonstrates the wide spectrum of use cases for mixed reality across all industries. Additionally, Jason has 4 assigned Patents in AR/MR with several more pending.
