Alasdair Lennox, Executive Creative Director, FITCH: Alasdair joined FITCH 20 years ago as a junior environmental designer, and has moved his way through the ranks, evolving his spectrum of design skills, and collecting a few stamps in his passport. He directs creative output for FITCH studios in North America. He has extensive experience in both strategic and creative assignments for a wide variety of clients including Starbucks, Apple, Miele, McLaren, Target, Nespresso, adidas, M Local, BP, Tesco, and Enterprise. Alasdair has led FITCH to win its first Cannes Lions, London International Awards, World Retail Awards Store ‘Design of the Year’, and under his watch FITCH was voted a top design in 2017, for the 7th year in a row, by Design:Retail magazine readers. He has judged Cannes

Design Lions, chaired the Interiors Jury at the Design Week Awards and judged at the Brandrepublic Digital Awards and D&AD New Blood. He regularly speaks at conferences, including The One Club’s Creative Week, Eurobest, EuroShop and the Retail Leaders Circle. Alasdair has written articles and contributed opinion to the BBC, Sky, Marketing Week, Contagious, Design Week, and Retail Week.

 

Dean Waters, CEO, FLOWERTOWN: Dean has been executing successful media/marketing strategies for a variety of Fortune 500 brands for over 30 years. After founding VIMBY, he forged a substantial alignment with Mark Burnett resulting in various nationally awarded creative campaigns. Last year, Dean founded The Flowertown Platform and The Flowertown Agency as a two-pronged approach designed to educate new consumers entering the marketplace and also to give cannabis brands the proper marketing tools for normalization.

 

Mskindness B. Ramirez, MA.Ed., Founder/CEO, Club Kindness and Elixirs by Kindness: With both the given name and a calling, Mskindness B. Ramirez has remained committed to her work in education and philanthropy throughout her life Following an extensive career in large-scale fundraising with reputable agencies such as The American Lung Association, Planned Parenthood, and The AIDS Services Foundation; in 2007 she pursued her graduate degree to continue her career as a High School Math Teacher. During her second pregnancy in 2012, a bad slip and fall left her riddled with chronic pain and unable to continue her career in a traditional classroom. When her academic lens and desire to find a holistic approach to healing, led this bold mom to enter the cannabis space. Armed with a wealth of new knowledge…Mskindness created Club Kindness in 2015. A nonprofit membership organization that supports patients, brands, and dispensaries with holistic cannabis education and outreach program development. In 2016, she expanded her mompreneurism; creating Elixirs by Kindness, a boutique line of cannabidiol-infused remedies for the mature consumer. The brand reaches health conscious consumers through a series of in-store and in-home workshops that teach other motivated women how to use CBD and build their own cannabis enterprises. Now, as a successful CEO and Adjunct Faculty for the LA City Community Colleges, she has further manifested her passion for Cannabis education into the development of a series of programs for higher learning; focusing on cannabis business, history, and social equity. This willful entrepreneur is the host of Sneaking in Silence, a podcast about conscious Cannabis consumption, the author of an upcoming children’s book, Our Very Special Garden, written to spark the canna-conversation between parents and their children, and the Co-Founder of Cannabis Business Development Seminars (CBDS). Mskindness has always focused on social justice as the core element of both her personal and business practices. She is currently in the running for a 2020 City Council position in Pomona, California; with a campaign focused on Equitable Cannabis regulation and Community Reinvestment. She is a multi-passionate businesswoman to say the least, who remains gracefully balanced through her mindfulness training and daily meditation practice.

 

Karin Clarke, Owner, Mosaic Wellness: Karin is a certified Integrative Health Coach and Owner of Mosaic Wellness – a CBD retail shop and Wellness Studio in Valley Village, CA. She has created a wellness studio that provides education and information regarding the multiple uses of CBD and wellness classes; Yoga, Meditation, Sound Baths and group Reiki. As a coach she specializes in gut disorders, chronic pain and sleep issues.  Lifestyle medicine in collaboration with traditional western medicine and the willingness of her clients is where she finds the most long - term results in health and wellness.  One of the topics that Karin is very passionate about, is educating the sober communities about the use of CBD products (and possibly micro-dosing cannabis) to find wellness and peace while continuing to keep their sobriety intact.  Having over 30 years of personal sobriety, Karin speaks from her heart and experience about this tricky topic and has compassion for those who are seeking alternatives to pain medication and psych medications

 

Bruce M. Margolin — Leading California Criminal Defense Attorney: His firm, The Law Offices of Bruce M. Margolin, Esq., began in 1967. Since 1973 he has been Director of Los Angeles National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana (LA NORML), and was also an advisor for Proposition 215 (Californians For Compassionate Use) and served as legal counsel for The California Hem Initiative. As a candidate for Governor of California in 2003, and US Congress in 2012 he has helped establish the credibility of Marijuana legalization policies.

 

Marty Perlmutter, President, Multisensory Interactive Learning Institute (MILI): Marty Perlmutter is currently working on the campaign to save Africa’s elephants, using social media and Virtual Reality to create programming and consciousness to reduce demand for ivory in China. Marty’s education nonprofit, Multisensory Interactive Learning, is developing mobile math games. The first in the series, “Tangram Jam,” is available for Apple and Android devices. He has worked in interactive media for over four decades. He invented an immersive display helmet in 1970 and later incorporated 3D TV in a series of science museum exhibits. He created interactive products for IBM, AT&T, HP, Pioneer, Mindscape, AOL, Looksmart and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. His interactive and education work has won awards in the US, Japan and Europe. Perlmutter built long-lasting interactive exhibits at the Boston Museum of Science, Lawrence Hall of Science and New York Hall of Science. He has consulted to HBO, Sony, Xerox, AT&T, MIT, Harvard, NYU, UC, Ericsson, BT and Mass General Hospital. He has lectured at Harvard and MIT and taught at Tufts, NYU, San Francisco State and Cogswell College. His writings on new media have been widely published.
