JR Griffin, Vice President, Digital Marketing & Business Development, FremantleMedia North America (FMNA): JR Griffin is the Vice President of Digital Marketing & Business Development at FremantleMedia North America (FMNA).  In this role, he is responsible for digital integrations and extensions for hit FMNA shows such as America's Got Talent, American Idol, Family Feud, Match Game, To Tell The Truth, and American Gods. JR is a publishing and digital media executive with over a decade of new media and web content development, programming and management experience. Whether it be through stimulating viewer engagement, creating innovative digital content, or

forming groundbreaking partnerships, JR has been a leader in amplifying FMNA’s social TV presence, and finding unique ways for the company’s formats to evolve and have a presence on multiple platforms. His work on American Idol and America's Got Talent has produced multiple worldwide firsts, including the debut of Google Search Voting, live coast-to-coast voting, and live-streamed audition partnerships on platforms such as YouNow and Live.ly. JR has also been instrumental in creating digital activations for numerous game show properties and other programs that engaged audiences online, and complemented the show's on-air broadcasts. Prior to joining FMNA, JR created and ran the New Media Programming division of NBCUniversal for their E!, Style and G4 networks.  In this role, he oversaw the creation of all video content for each of the networks’ sites and mobile applications, as well as their video syndication businesses, which included signature Academy Awards, Golden Globes and Grammy Awards coverage.

 

Leslie Grandy, Advisor, Heyou Media: Leslie Grandy is an experienced digital media executive, with over 20 years in digital product development and thirteen years of previous experience in motion picture and television commercial production, bringing a unique convergence of skills to bear on digital and mobile product innovation. Leslie has a track record of delivering measurable business results for large public companies including Apple, Best Buy, Discovery Networks, and T-Mobile, as well as early to mid stage start-ups. She has been an advisor to executives in the media, telecom, and retail industries, recently serving on the Board of Directors for social shopping start-up Zantler Corp, and on the Innovation Council for Red Robin Gourmet Burgers. She currently serves as an Advisor to Heyou Media, a digital media company founded by the iconic actor/director/writer Tom Skerritt, and as the Founder and CEO of The Product Guild LLC, a product and innovation advisory service.

 

Glenn Bartlett, VP Creative, Creative Center | Sony Pictures Television: Based in Los Angeles, Glenn Bartlett is the VP Creative for the Creative Center at Sony Pictures Television (SPT). Currently, he oversees 360 creative across Sony Production Originals, Global Branding & Marketing of our Sony Networks in addition to Franchise, Distribution and Syndication Marketing. Glenn leads a team of creative directors, art directors, designers and animators whose day-to-day responsibilities include ideation and execution of 360˚ campaigns, brand and visual identity. Additionally, the team also focuses on experiential design, social content and global network launches. With an international career spanning thirty years, Glenn was previously based in Asia and held the role of Executive Creative Director of Brand & Partner Solutions at Turner. Over his 7 years with Turner, he managed the overall creative strategy for Turner’s dynamic entertainment portfolio including Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Toonami, Adult Swim, Warner TV, Oh!K and truTV, while spearheading the development and launch of brand partnerships in the Southeast Asia and Pacific region achieving record-breaking results and  360 fan engagement. Previously, the Chair of Promax Singapore, Glenn was a regular speaker and winner of several Promax accolades. He was the Sr. Executive Creative Director at I&S BBDO/Proximity in Tokyo and Shanghai for a combined six years, helming a hand selected team delivering world-class, award-winning creative.

 

Jim Jermanok is an award-winning writer, director, producer author and speaker based in NY. He is currently directing and producing a feature documentary about the life and art of Oscar-winning actor Martin Landau featuring interviews by Chris Rock, Diane Ladd, Jon Voight, Woody Allen and Ellen Burstyn. Mr. Jermanok wrote and produced the highly acclaimed romantic comedy, “Passionada,” which was released by Columbia Tri Star in over 150 countries. His film “Em”won the Grand Jury Prize at the Seattle International Film Festival and the Criterion International Inspiration Award. Also active in TV and New Media, Jim Jermanok’s new web series “LIFEADVICE.TV” has drawn tremendous praise since going live globally in 2015. Mr. Jermanok is a former ICM Agent who represented Arthur Miller, Shirley MacLaine, John Chancellor, Ben Kingsley, Dudley Moore, Helen Hayes, Alan Arkin and General H. Norman Schwarzkopf, among others. Jim has conducted over 300 workshops worldwide on the subject of his recent bestseller, BEYOND THE CRAFT: What You Need to Know to Make A Living Creatively!-- Making Your Projects Happen: Successful Film/TV Producing and Financing as well as The Art and Business of Screenwriting.

 

Jason Brooks, Founding Partner | Los Angeles-based AltView Law Group, LLP, Producer.  Jason provides business & legal affairs counsel to content creators and emerging players in the digital space with extensive representation on both the talent and corporate sides of the Industry. Specializing in new media, digital entertainment and tech, Jason’s knowledge of business development strategy and production has helped create opportunities for producers of content across a wide spectrum of the creative community, including actors and social media influencers, brands, production companies, and businesses in tech. Jason is also an executive producer of a short form documentary series called The Seven Crossings Project (slated for digital release in 2020), focused on raising awareness for ocean sustainability solutions to combat the effects of climate change.

 

Elsa Ramo, Managing Partner, Ramo Law PC: Named a game changer and one of “Hollywood’s New Leaders in Law and Finance” by Variety, Elsa Ramo has represented over 90 films and 15 television series in 2017 alone, including 14 that debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in 2018. Elsa provides comprehensive legal services to producers, financiers, creators and owners of film, television and digital content and projects across a range of budgets and production levels. She established her own law firm to enable up-and- coming filmmakers and producers to bring their stories to life. Her credits include the four Oscar-nominated films, “Call Me By Your Name,” “The Disaster Artist,” “Loving Vincent,” and “Still Alice.” Elsa’s leadership within the legal and entertainment communities extends beyond her successful Beverly Hills firm. She dedicates substantial time to mentoring women though various organizations. Additionally, Elsa is a go-to commentator and instructor on legal issues related to film financing and the entertainment market. Elsa Ramo founded the firm in 2005 on the Universal Studios backlot after several clients approached her to handle their independent productions. Now as managing partner to the firm, she handles client matters as well as manages the firm’s attorneys and packaging and sales department.
