Dr. Jacqueline L. Sanderlin (“Dr. J”) is an accomplished school principal, professor, and empowerment speaker, whose “Why Not” attitude has led to dramatic improvements in some of Southern California’s toughest schools. Dr. J’s passion for empowering school communities, business partners, and educational leaders is unparalleled! Her innovative and visionary style has taken this simple question and turned it into a movement that educational and business leaders around the country are clamoring to incorporate into their schools, classrooms, and business corporations. Dr. J holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications/Public Relations and a Master of Arts Degree in Special Education from Cal State University Dominguez Hills College. She also earned a Doctorate in Education, Leadership, Administration, and Policy from Pepperdine University. She has been an adjunct professor at Argosy University, Grand Canyon University, and Pepperdine University where she has taught education administration and organizational leadership. She has served over 20 years as a special education teacher, curriculum specialist, assistant principal, principal, district office administrator, and executive director of school and community engagement. Dr. J’s ability to create community partnerships eventually made its way to the small screen, when she and actor, Cheryl Hines collaborated to create and produce the NBC reality series, School Pride. This program renovated schools across the country, and provided the foundation for Dr. J’s innovative approach to “community empowerment.”
