Darren Manners is Lead Penetration Tester for SyCom Technologies. He is a seasoned IT professional specializing in Penetration Testing, Compliance, Security Awareness, Social Engineering and other forms of Offensive Information Security Practices. He spent the early part of his career with the United Kingdom Royal Naval Intelligence earning nine years’ experience as a Communication Technician Analyst. Over the next 12 years, he worked in various security roles with VAR’s achieving several certifications including CCIE, SANS Cyber Guardian - Red+Blue (1 of 34 in the world), SANS GSE (#42), CCIE Security (18929), OSCP, CISSP, and others. Darren has written papers outlining iPhone backup files for penetration testing and anomaly detection using user agent headers. Other accomplishments include being the designer of Sphere of Influence (security visualization tool) and Ice-hole (email phishing tool), and designer and lead penetration tester on RedSpy365 – a continuous penetration testing service.

 

Newton Lee, President of Institute for Education, Research & Scholarships, led the cybersecurity team DESCARTES to compete in the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's first-ever Cyber Grand Challenge. He authored and edited the "Total Information Awareness" trilogy: Facebook Nation, Counterterrorism and Cybersecurity, and Google It. Lee was the founder of Disney Online Technology Forum, creator of AT&T Bell Labs' first-ever commercial artificial intelligence tool, and inventor of the world's first annotated multimedia OPAC for the U.S. National Agricultural Library. Among many hats he is wearing, Lee is the editor-in-chief of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Computers in Entertainment, adjunct professor at Woodbury University School of Media, Culture & Design, and education and media advisor for the U.S. Transhumanist Party. Lee graduated Summa Cum Laude from Virginia Tech with a B.S. and M.S. degree in Computer Science, and he earned a perfect GPA from Vincennes University with an A.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and an honorary doctorate in Computer Science.
