Alexandra August – Podcast Producer at Skybound Entertainment: Alexandra August is a veteran podcaster whose passion lies in creating shows that engage communities and reward creators. As Skybound Entertainment’s first podcast producer, she’s working to bring their inaugural slate of narrative podcasts to life, leveraging the company’s deep bench of IP and a first-look deal with audio landscape pioneer, Audible. Skybound’s nature as a proven multiplatform creative company ensures it will meet today’s high standards for audio narratives while simultaneously positioning those narratives to evolve into other mediums. Prior to joining Skybound, Alexandra created and hosted two successful entertainment podcasts, worked as a pop culture journalist for digital outlets including Fandom and Screen Rant and is a sought-after guest correspondent on BBC World News and CTV News and Radio.

Arwen Champion Nicks is the multi-award winning Senior Producer of KPCC’s On-Demand. At KPCC, she’s producing the station's first investigative podcast, “Repeat”. She comes to KPCC after producing, “How’s Your Day?” for KUOW. The podcast tells you a story you don’t know from a day we all remember. One of the top 100 podcasts on Apple Podcasts in 2017, “How’s Your Day?” was featured as one of the best podcasts of 2017 on NPR, and had two episodes singled out on the Best of 2017 list from Bello Collective. Nicks has also produced the Sup Pop Podcast and Sound Effect for KNKX. Prior to podcasting, she was a producer and show runner for daily news programs for seven years.

 

Colin Anderson is VP of Earwolf / Comedy at Stitcher. He worked for years as a staff producer at the BBC Radio Comedy in London, creating podcasts on the side for fun. In 2014 he moved to Los Angeles to jump full-time into podcasting, first as Senior Producer at Maximum Fun (where he developed Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness), and now running Earwolf.

 

Christopher Kenneally, Director, Content Marketing, Copyright Clearance Center, Host, CCC’s Beyond the Book podcast series

Christopher Kenneally hosts CCC's podcast series Beyond the Book (www.beyondthebook.com), which debuted in 2006 and has posted over 1.5 million downloads. As CCC's Director, Content Marketing, he is responsible for organizing and hosting programs that address the business needs of all stakeholders in publishing and research. His reporting has appeared in the New York Times, Boston Globe, Los Angeles Times, The Independent (London), WBUR-FM, NPR, and WGBH-TV.

 

GAYLE GILMAN, CEO and co-founder of Ripple Entertainment: Gayle is an Oscar and Emmy nominated producer and is currently the CEO and co-founder of Ripple Entertainment. In 2016, Gayle launched Ripple with the goal of building audiences around content on YouTube. Ripple’s SNARLED network, and the hit series, Something Scary, has accumulated 2M subscribers and 300M views across their branded destinations. The show has gone on to become a hit podcast, and a popular Snapchat series. Prior to this, Gayle was hired by Fremantle Media to launch Tiny Riot, their first digital content studio, where she served as the EVP and GM. While there, she partnered with VICE Media to launch their food vertical, Munchies, creating series such as Bong Appetit and Fuel. Before working in online video, Gayle was an Executive Producer and Showrunner for Original Productions, overseeing series such as Ice Road Truckers (History Channel), America’s Lost Treasures (National Geographic) and Swords, Life on the Line (Discovery Channel) Gayle started her career as a television executive, working for National Geographic, and A&E Television (where she was Executive Producer for the documentary, The Farm, Angola USA) and Channel 4 (UK).  Upon her return to the states, Gayle settled in Los Angeles and opened RDF's U.S. office, to launch hit formats including Wife Swap (ABC) and Junkyard Wars (TLC).

 

Stephen Perlstein is the Director of the Podcast Network at Studio71, overseeing business development and creative of over 60 podcasts. Based in Los Angeles, Perlstein has worked in podcasts for 9 years, before Studio71 as the Sales and Advertising Director for Feral Audio. Perlstein has also written for the New Looney Tunes that airs on Cartoon Network, and Dance Moms on Lifetime. Stephen’s also a runner, reader, vegetarian, film buff, meditator, and producer, just like everyone else in Los Angeles.
