Eric Johnson, President and Founder, Ignited: Since Eric founded the agency in 1999, Ignited has grown to more than $100 million in billings and 120 employees, becoming one of the largest independent advertising agencies in Southern California. Clients include the U.S. Army, Sony, Princess Cruises, Electronic Arts and NBC Universal. Eric brings a unique client perspective to the agency, having previously held the post of senior vice president of marketing for Activision, where he helped build the company to over $430 million in sales. He currently serves on the board of the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A's) is co-president of thinkLA.

Tom Flanagan, former, EVP, Entertainment, Leo Burnett: As an EVP for Leo Burnett, Tom launched thecompany's NYC office in 2011. Most recently, he is leading the company's entertainment marketing and content creation efforts. As a marketer, Tom has extensive experience in the sports, music and film industries. He has also launched digital divisions of global companies, and created start-ups focused on mobile products and technology consulting. His additional work in entertainment marketing has included that with Gatorade, MTV, Crocs, 20th Century Fox, Quiksilver/Kelly Slater, Mattel, Rockstar Energy Drink, Visa, Element/Billabong, CCTV (China), Vision Models, Citizen Pictures, GoPro Cameras, Specialized, Pentax, and Electric/Volcom. He is a board member for the Love Hope Strength Foundation.

 

Mary Hamilton is the Accenture Technology Labs Managing Director responsible for the Global Digital Experiences group.  In this role, she leads a research and development agenda focused on emerging digital technology to address key business challenges of Accenture's clients.  Her multidisciplinary team creates differentiated technology concepts and solutions to drive Accenture's growth and capabilities in new areas such as Digital Customer, Digital Workforce, and Digital Operations.  These capabilities are based on new advances in experience-driven technologies including virtual/immersive/augmented reality, wearables, 3D printing, connected car, customer analytics and lifestyle services, social collaboration, gamification, and crowdsourcing.  Since joining Accenture in 1997, Mary has brought innovative technology solutions to both Accenture and clients across a variety of industries, running technology innovation projects from incubation to large-scale implementation.  She received her SB degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  Mary is originally from Toledo, Ohio, spent several years of her career in Chicago, IL, and now lives in San Francisco, CA.  She enjoys traveling whenever possible, especially with her 6 month old son.

 

Jake Katz, Vice President, Audience Insights & Strategy, Revolt TV: Katz was formerly General Manager of Ypulse, a youth market research firm, tasked with consulting the leading brands in media and entertainment, retail, food and beverage, and automotive, to shape their understanding of what the Millennial generation means for the future of their business. Katz spent his early career at MTV as the in-house trend expert. Through MTV's industry famous Millennial Edge Study and "M Day" trend events, Jake helped steer the brand through its transformation from a Gen X mentality to a Millennial sensibility. He was part of the brand's Insights Innovation team, and by bringing the voice of the consumer into the organization at all levels, Katz unlocked a company culture of "audience intimacy" - a crucial initiative that enabled the brand to evolve. Following his time at MTV, Jake went on to help kick-start a trend consulting unit at NBCUniversal. While at NBCU, Jake helped found and curate the company's ad industry book - Curve. Katz also developed the Y Now film series, a documentary aimed at breaking the story of how the recession re-shaped our understanding of Millennials altogether.

 

Greg Portell is a partner with A.T. Kearney’s Consumer Products & Retail and Media Practices. He is also the leader of the firm’s global transformation capabilities. Having begun his career in marketing research and media planning, Greg has a strong interest in consumers and their interaction with brands and media. Since joining A.T. Kearney in 1998, Greg has focused his time helping companies improve their ability to design and execute content and marketing distribution to consumers. Greg’s clients include some of the world’s largest and most influential media, consumer products, and consumer marketing companies. His counsel is sought on such emerging issues as accelerated transformation, business unit strategy, digital rights management, consumer targeting, media convergence, and consumer research, marketing and acquisition. Greg holds an MBA (Strategy and Marketing) from Washington University and a BA (Economics and French) from DePauw University.

 

Michael Kernan, Chief Executive Officer, NuMedia Studios (former executive ICM) Based in the Los Angeles office of ICM, Michael leads and coordinates the company's digital and new media assets, including working with ICM's London and New York offices. With its recent acquisition of The Broder Webb Chervin Silbermann Agency, ICM is the premier agency for creators of television and new media programming. Michael joined ICM in 2000, and has packaged numerous new media projects. He has been a leader in Internet deal making, in addition to developing content for the new media platform. Michael is a strategic advisor for technology and new media company clients on growth and financing. Prior to ICM, Michael practiced entertainment law at Lavely & Singer and Behr Abramson & Kaller, and consulted on patents and patent related issues at Gauntlet and Associates. Michael completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Illinois, and attended The University of California, Hastings College of Law, where he served as the Executive Associate Editor of "The Hastings Entertainment Law Review."

 

Art Chang is the Founder and CEO of Tipping Point Partners, a hybrid incubator and investment company, based in New York City. Tipping Point is the founder or co-founder in startups at the intersection of government, education and industry, including media and games. Art’s media startups have included production boutique Splendid Television (Dreamworks); music social network pioneer Haystack Music; digital cookbook recipe service Cookstr (Macmillan); and TV post-production workflow and metadata engine Qwire.
