Hany Nada is co-founder and Managing Partner for GGV Capital.  He has worked as a long-term partner with more than 150 companies over the past decade to build companies that can succeed in today's global marketplace.. He is a trusted resource to public and private company CEOs and management teams on global market development, customer introductions and M&A/IPO guidance across US and Asian markets.  Hany has also been recognized as a member of the 2012 Venture Capital 100 by Always-On.  Hany made his first investment in China in 2001, and has led the firm’s successful investments in Tudou (NASDAQ: TUDO; acquired by Youku), athenahealth (NASDAQ: ATHN), Endeca (acquired by Oracle) Glu Mobile (NASDAQ: GLUU), Kintana (acquired by Mercury Interactive), Turbine (acquired by Time Warner) and Xfire (acquired by Viacom).  Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors for Draft Kings, PlayHaven,

Vocera Communications (NYSE: VCRA), BandPage, Glu Mobile, and Wild Tangent, and also led the firm's investments in SoundCloud and Houzz where he serves as a Board observer.  In addition to actively making investments in the mobile and digital media sectors in the US and China, Hany is responsible for one of the industry’s most successful China/US investment teams as well as general oversight of the firm's funds.  Before entering the venture capital business, Hany spent ten years on Wall Street as a top-ranked research analyst at Piper Jaffray focusing on Internet software and infrastructure. Hany is a graduate of the University of Minnesota where he earned a B.S. in economics and a B.A. in political science.

 

Alex Niehenke, Principal, Scale Venture Partners: Alex focuses on investments across ScaleVP's technology portfolio - including SaaS , Cloud, Consumer Internet and Mobile. Prior to joining ScaleVP in 2012, Alex was at Crosslink Capital where he was involved in the investments in Bleacher Report (acquired by Turner Broadcasting), Marin Software, and Flurry, amongst others. Prior to joining Crosslink, Alex was an associate at investment bank Montgomery & Co. providing advisory services to Internet and software clients. His transaction experience includes the sale of Club Penguin to Disney, the sale of MySpace to Fox, and the recapitalization of LegalZoom. Alex holds a B.S in Business Administration and a B.A in Legal Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.

 

Scott Levine is a Managing Director at Time Warner Investments, where he is focused on digital media investment opportunities that have a strategic fit with Time Warner's operating divisions. Scott is a board observer of Conviva, Adaptly and Gaia Online. Scott was previously the SVP of Corporate Development at Sony Music, where he led M&A, venture investments and digital strategy. Prior to Sony, he was a Vice President at General Atlantic, a growth equity firm with $17 billion under management. Scott has also been an operator at three digital media startups, including myYearbook (social network; $100mm sale to QPSA), Liquid Audio (online music retailer; IPO, sold to Wal-Mart) and Verance (audio watermarking). Scott is a graduate of Stanford University (Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering) and Columbia University (MBA, B.S. in Electrical Engineering).

 

Norm Fogelsong, General Partner, Institutional Venture Partners (IVP): Norm Fogelsong joined Institutional Venture Partners (IVP) in March 1989 and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA). With more than 30 years of high-technology venture capital and growth equity experience, he emphasizes investments in private later-stage companies and in select public market opportunities. Norm has led investments in Artisan Components (ARTI), Aspect Communications, Compaq Computers (CPQ), Concur Technologies (CNQR), Convex Computers (CNVX), Cortina Systems, Danger (MFST), InphoMatch (SAP), Integrated Circuit Works (CY), Lam Research (LRCX), LensVector, Marketo, Motion Computing, Platinum Software (PSQL), Polycom (PLCM), SkyStream Networks (ERIC), TelCom Semiconductor (TLCM) and Websense (WBSN). Norm also actively participated in venture investments in Akamai (AKAM), Amgen (AMGN), At Road (TRMB), Applied Biosystems (ABI), Chordiant (CHRD), ComScore (SCOR), Cypress Semiconductor (CY), Digital River (DRIV), Genentech (DNA), Linear Technology (LLTC), LoopNet (LOOP), LSI (LSI), MIPS Computer Systems (MIPS), Quantum (QTM), Silicon Graphics (SGI), SuccessFactors (SFSF), SupportSoft (SPRT), Synchronoss Technologies (SNCR), 3COM (COMS), Verisity (VRST), WebEx (WEBX) and Zynga. For Cortina Systems, Norm arranged a $132 million investment syndicate, and the proceeds were used to buy a $100 million division that was being spun out of Intel. His most recent investments include LensVector, a leader in dynamic solid-state optics, and Marketo, the global leader in Revenue Performance Management solutions. Norm began his career as a computer programmer at Hewlett-Packard. He then worked as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company where he specialized in strategic planning. He has served the local community as the Treasurer of the Children's Health Council, the Secretary of the Churchill Club, the Founder of the Kona Jazz Festival and as a member of the Major Gifts Committees at Menlo School and Stanford University. Norm earned a B.S. in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University (Phi Beta Kappa), an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

 

Yoav Tzruya, Partner, Jerusalem Venture Partners: Yoav brings strong background and industry recognition in the fields of digital media, content services, telecom value-added services and business support systems. Prior to joining JVP Yoav headed Altus Media Ltd a venture capital consulting business, providing business, strategy and operational support for VCs and digital media and content related startups, including JVP portfolio companies. Prior to Altus Media, Yoav spent five years as General Manager/COO and CMO of Exent Technologies, leading its strategy, business and operations, positioning it as an industry leader in the space of video games digital distribution, growing the business 70% Y-over-Year five years in a row. In this capacity Yoav was instrumental in building new offerings and revenue streams for industry leaders such as Verizon, Comcast, Intel, CBS, Time Warner and France Telecom. Previously, Yoav spent five years with TeleKnowledge, an innovator in the space of business support systems, holding multiple executive level positions, including Product Management, Marketing and Business Development, helping define telecom value-added services and digital media strategies for the likes of Telefonica, Yahoo, Listen.com (Real Networks), Turbine Entertainment, FullAudio (AOL), Star Media, TheStreet.com and others. Yoav further spent six years in the Israeli Air-Force, managing mission critical development projects, and is a decorated officer. Yoav holds an International Executive MBA from Kellogg/Northwestern and Tel-Aviv University, as well as a M.Sc. in Computer Science (cum laude) and a B.Sc. in Mathematics (cum laude) from Tel-Aviv University.
