Jill (Schneiderman) Wilson, SVP of Game Development, SGN As SVP of Game Development, Jill (Schneiderman) Wilson oversees all

aspects of SGN’s production, from concept through lifecycle. She is responsible for both the strategic planning and day-to-day operations

of the company’s industry-leading cross-platform game development.  As employee #3 (after founding partners), Jill spearheaded the company’s

original expansion into game development and has grown their production team into the mobile-social leader it is today.  Prior to SGN, Jill held a hybrid of business and creative roles at start-up board game company, Imagination Games. During her tenure with Imagination, Jill pioneered the company’s international sales and outbound licensing business, selling over $1M in the initiative’s start-up year, stretched marketing budgets in innovative ways to

secure millions of dollars of free coverage and created several board games, including the Gossip Girl: Never Have I Ever game.  Jill serves as an advisor to the Casual Games Association and is a regular speaker at industry events. In her spare time, she plays competitive backgammon in the Bay Area, where she currently resides. Jill graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California, and was born and raised in New York City.

 

Susan Paley is a 15+year veteran in consumer technology and the driving force behind some of the most innovative consumer products and embedded solutions in the audio/digital audio space. During her tenure she has worked with global, emerging and disruptive brands such as JBL/Harman Kardon and Beats by Dre, to name a few. Her expertise is in building businesses from inception to scale that are focused on transforming markets to capture significant revenue and consumer mindshare. In her tenure Susan has created successful, sustainable businesses based on innovative platforms comprised of hardware, software and digital content to realize new paradigms for global lifestyle brands. She has applied this winning formula to global lifestyle brands such as Beats by Dr. Dre, JBL, GM, Chrysler/Fiat, HP, Quiksilver/Roxy, Nickelodeon and Universal Music Group. Currently she operates as a business strategist for early stage ventures and global brands that are focused on building entirely new businesses or creating new opportunities within existing businesses.  In her most recent role Susan was the first employee and CEO of Beats By Dre.,chartered with building the business from the ground up. Susan successfully guided all aspects of the company's unparalleled growth from both a strategic and operational aspect, making it the #1 headphone globally and the fastest growing brand in CE. She created "Beats Audio", a proprietary audio enhancement technology now deployed in millions of mobile phones, automobiles and PCs through licensing partnerships with HTC, Chrysler/Fiat and HP respectively. Susan led the investment deal team that resulted in a 300M+ investment by HTC. She then moved into a General Manager/EVP Product Development role where she was responsible for building and leading engineering and product management teams to create, manage and execute the Beats product portfolio.  Susan joined Beats Electronics from Harman International Group where she was responsible for identifying and developing new markets for the global brands across the Harman portfolio. For JBL, she created a new line of lifestyle products linked to a strategic partnership with Quiksilver Inc., one of the largest global youth lifestyle brands driving $40M of annualized growth. Susan was responsible for all aspects of the business from inception through launch including the
business plan, product portfolio development, manufacturing, channel distribution strategy, marketing and PR.  Prior to Harman Susan served as Head of Business Development for PhatNoise, a Los Angeles-based start-up that created the first platform for digital media in the car. In this role, Susan was responsible for the company’s revenue through her acquisition and management of the company’s key partnerships—General Motors, Volkswagen/Audi and Kenwood. Susan worked with closely with General Motors to develop first digital content strategy for in-vehicle infotainment systems inking deals with Audible, Nickelodeon, Universal Music Group and video game publisher Capcom for General Motor’s ground breaking Mobile Digital Media System.  She is a graduate of Wesleyan University in Connecticut. Susan completed 2 years of studies in a PhD program in the field of American Cultural Studies at Boston University before turning her attention to technology and innovation.

 

Paulette Pantoja, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, BluFocus, Inc.: Paulette E. Pantoja is the founder and CEO of BluFocus Inc., the leader in advanced quality assurance and certification of media content and applications for the Home Entertainment industry. After graduating from UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television, Paulette pursued a professional career in Entertainment and Media, with an extensive focus on production management. In 2006, after spending years in various roles at production facilities, Paulette found herself working directly with the new Blu-ray technology. From this experience, she saw a need to address the complexities encountered during its development. In 2007, prior to the end of the HD-DVD and Blu-ray format war, Paulette founded BluFocus, Inc., the first testing company exclusive to Blu-ray. BluFocus not only redefined testing practices, but also introduced their patent pending “ORS,” the first online reporting system, to the Home Entertainment industry. BluFocus' success has since allowed for significant expansion into other areas in need of their expertise and testing methodologies. In 2008, BluFocus became the exclusive THX Certification facility for Blu-ray and DVD. In 2009, BluFocus and THX collaborated and developed the first 3D Certification Program for 3D Blu-ray. In 2010, Paulette became co-chair of the Human Factors Committee for the 3D@Home Consortium to help conduct and distribute studies to assist in the creation of quality 3D material to consumers. In 2011, BluFocus opened a facility in the UK to address its expanding client base, as well as an App Testing Division to keep up with industry demands. Upon BluFocus' inception, Paulette set out to ensure that the testing processes and methodologies originally used for Blu-ray would be utilized to assist and benefit other technologies. Today, BluFocus provides worldwide, 24/7 quality assurance services for all entertainment media technologies such as Apps, 3D, Broadcast, Digital Distribution, Graphics and more. A widely respected thought leader in the industry, Paulette's mission has always been to form collaborative partnerships with her clients, where BluFocus doesn't just provide a report on what's wrong, but assists in the development process of a project. This philosophy, one that is echoed throughout her company and remains the top priority, is what continues to separate BluFocus from its competitors.

 

Nancy Hauge, Vice President, Human Resources, Silicon Image: Nancy Hauge is responsible for Silicon Image's human resources activities worldwide. She has over 25 years of executive human resources experience across multiple industries including technology, retail, restaurant and education.  Prior to joining Silicon Image, Hauge served as the senior vice president of human resources for K12 Inc., where she was responsible for talent management, organizational effectiveness, total rewards, workforce analytics, employee and executive benefits, and HR technologies. During her tenure at K12, the company quadrupled in size and successfully completed its IPO.  Before joining K12, Hauge was the chief customer advocate and senior vice president of human resources at Ruckus Network, a venture-backed, entertainment-based social media company. In addition, Hauge was the senior partner at 54th Street Partners, where she served as the interim vice president of human resources for several rapidly growing public companies and many venture-backed start-ups.  Hauge also served as the founding vice president of people at Noah's New York Bagels, the vice president of human resources for Gymboree Corporation, and she held various senior management, strategic planning and quality positions at Sun Microsystems.  Hauge currently sits on the board of directors of Magnus Health, and is an advisor to Wilmington Pharmaceuticals, BlackRidge Technologies and Mixbook.

 

Jennifer Bedford is a Partner at Sunset Entertainment Partners, an investor-backed executive search firm dedicated to recruiting next generation leaders. Melinda Moore, President, Moore Media Ventures (Advisor for Breakr & BOOMiO):  As an award-winning marketing executive and technology entrepreneur with extensive connections in entertainment, technology, fashion and Fortune 100 companies, Melinda Moore has led digital strategy and integrated marketing campaigns for prominent consumer brands including Credo Mobile, Ford, LIVESTRONG, msnbc.com, Netflix, Obama for America, Sony, USA Networks and YouTube.  Ms. Moore is currently the President of Moore Media Ventures providing business and strategic consulting services to early stage technology and millennial focused mobile companies including Breakr, Brut, edtwist and exacly.me.  In this role she has developed marketing plans encompassing mobile, social media, original content, viral marketing, SEO, SEM, website development and strategic partnerships.  In the fall of 2013, Ms. Moore provided consulting services to Robin McGraw and Dr. Phil to help launch Robin’s purpose-driven beauty brand Revelation, and her domestic violence foundation When Georgia Smiled.  She oversaw the website development, emergency smartphone app, summit conference and thought leadership plan.  Another project for Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw was with the United Nations Foundation where she positioned Robin McGraw as a key spokesperson for #GivingTuesday and secured national television coverage for the #GivingTuesday campaign on the Dr. Phil show.  Ms. Moore’s passion for health and the environment led her to create and co-found LovingEco where she encouraged women to vote with their wallet for ecologically conscious companies while giving back to charity with each purchase.  At LovingEco, Ms. Moore was responsible for raising a seed round of capital from prominent angel investors, integrated marketing, public relations and to secure leading celebrity tastemakers for the site such as Maria Bello, Amy Smart and Randi Zuckerberg.  In 2012, she helped lead the successful acquisition of LovingEco by John Paul Dejoria, the entrepreneur behind Patron and Paul Mitchell.
