Mike is considered to be a subject matter expert in the field of emerging video delivery platforms and consumptive end user behavior trends. Mike holds an MBA from Pace University in New York and has enjoyed a successful past racing open wheel formula cars.

 

Robin Wilson, VP of Business Development, NAGRA:  As VP of Business Development at NAGRA, Robin Wilson’s responsibilities include ensuring that the company’s current and future solutions are developed and applied whenever new opportunities or markets arise. Robin has over 25 years of international broadcast technology experience in companies that include BBC, NBC, RCA, DiviCom, Grass Valley and Modulus Video where he has held various marketing, engineering, management and founding positions.  Robin has participated in and presented at many industry organizations including SMPTE, EBU, IBC, ATIS, IEEE and NATAS. He graduated with a BSc. degree in Applied Physics (EE) from Dundee University, Scotland, and holds a watermarking patent.

 

Candice Edwards – SVP, Strategy & Business Development, Digiflare: Based in Los Angeles, Her primary responsibility is to ensure Digiflare is strategically aligned with our OEM and Infrastructure partners as well as overseeing major west coast accounts and the overall marketing strategy.  Prior to Digiflare, Ms. Edwards was responsible for driving new business initiatives in the media and entertainment sector for Ooyala, widely recognized as the leading online video technology platform and analytics provider.   She has held various senior positions with companies such as Oracle, Autonomy, and RealNetworks serving roles in sales, business development, and strategic alliances where she was responsible for identifying and developing new markets and industry partnerships. Candice holds a BSc Management Science degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University – Pamplin College of Business.

 

Anupam Gupta, EVP, Cloud Services, Vubiquity: As Executive Vice President of Cloud Services, Anupam leads all aspects of Vubiquity’s cloud-based business. He brings over 15 years of product leadership and general management experience, having launched and grown successful cloud-based services in the Consumer Internet, Digital Media and Digital Marketing ecosystems. Prior to joining Vubiquity, Anupam was part of the founding team of Mixpo and directed the vision, strategy and execution as CEO from 2007 to 2013. Under his leadership, Mixpo built the industry’s most comprehensive platform to enable interactive video advertising across multiple screens, and grew to become a profitable growth-stage company with a world-class team. Mixpo was recognized as one of America’s Most Promising Companies by Forbes in 2013 and 2014, and was also recognized on Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 list for 2013. Before Mixpo, Anupam spent eight years at Microsoft in product management and product marketing teams for global online services: instant messaging, mobile, premium services, blogging/social networking, voice-over-IP and broadband/dialup internet access. He helped scale customer bases and revenue to hundreds of millions worldwide. Anupam holds an undergraduate degree in computer science from Birla Institute of Technology & Science in India and a MBA from Cornell University.

 

Ty Roberts, Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer, Gracenote:  Ty is tasked with developing long-term strategy and identifying new areas of growth for Gracenote. Ty co-founded Gracenote when his company ION merged with CDDB in the late 1990s. Prior to Gracenote, Ty produced the industry’s first interactive music experiences on CD for artists like Brian Eno and David Bowie. Connected to practically everyone in the business, from labels and artists to technologists, Ty is a frequent speaker at music and TV industry conferences and events.

 

Sean Besser, Head of Platform, Peel: Sean heads up Peel’s Peel.in Platform which enables TV networks and producers to increase viewership by posting a unique tune-in URL on social media that when tapped on a smartphone with the Peel Smart Remote app will change the channel to the promoted show or set a reminder to watch later. Sean comes to Peel from GetGlue (TVTag) where he led the company's business development, media partnerships, sales, corporate development, operations, marketing, PR and strategy teams as EVP Business Development. Prior to that he ran worldwide business development at ROVI. Sean has also served in business development roles at  Movielink, EchoStar (the DISH Network), Fox Sports, and TiVo.  Sean, a triple threat with journalism and law degrees from USC and an MBA from Berkeley, also serves on the DEG's Advanced Platforms Committee and a steering group for the Interactive division of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and is an active member of the Producers Guild.

 

Thomas K. Arnold is one of the leading home entertainment journalists in the country. He is publisher and editorial director of Home Media Magazine, the home entertainment industry’s only trade publication. He also contributes home entertainment analysis news features and weekly home entertainment sales and rental updates to Variety. He has talked about home entertainment issues on CNN’s “Showbiz Tonight” and “Entertainment Tonight,” and was a frequent guest on the G4 network’s “Attack of the Show.” Arnold is a frequent speaker, moderator and keynoter at entertainment and technology industry conferences, summits and other events, including the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Digital Hollywood, and the EMA’s Digital Pipeline. Mike Earle, CEO & founder, aioTV:  Mike is a long time cable industry veteran who started his career in 1996 as data services manager with Eastlink Ltd. in Canada, deploying some of the earliest implementations of high speed internet, DOCSIS, and cable telephony.
