Matt Freeman is an Operating Partner at Bain Capital. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Freeman served as CEO of several companies in the media, advertising and marketing technology industries. Mr. Freeman has run both startups and multi-billion dollar global companies. Mr. Freeman has been inducted into the Advertising Hall of Achievement and has been named one of the 50 most creative people in business. Mr. Freeman received a BA from Dartmouth College. While at Dartmouth, Mr. Freeman worked full time at a variety of jobs including TA positions in Russian and American literature - as well as the graduate creative writing program.

Scott Levine is a Managing Director at Time Warner Investments, where he is focused on digital media investment opportunities that have a strategic fit with Time Warner's operating divisions. Scott is a board observer of Conviva, Adaptly and Gaia Online. Scott was previously the SVP of Corporate Development at Sony Music, where he led M&A, venture investments and digital strategy. Prior to Sony, he was a Vice President at General Atlantic, a growth equity firm with $17 billion under management. Scott has also been an operator at three digital media startups, including myYearbook (social network; $100mm sale to QPSA), Liquid Audio (online music retailer; IPO, sold to Wal-Mart) and Verance (audio watermarking). Scott is a graduate of Stanford University (Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering) and Columbia University (MBA, B.S. in Electrical Engineering).

 

 Tuna N. Amobi is a Director with S&P Capital IQ, New York. Since early 2005, he has maintained oversight of the firm's Consumer Sector strategy and recommendations by a team of equity analysts, for hundreds of securities. Since 2001, he has personally covered companies/stocks in the Media and Entertainment sub-industries, recently including S&P 500 constituents CBS, Comcast, DirecTV, Disney, Time Warner and Viacom, as well as others such as Netflix. He also authors a number of bi-annual industry surveys, including “Movies & Entertainment”, and “Broadcasting, Cable & Satellite”. Tuna led a core team that created and implemented the proprietary S&P Core Earnings® framework, also having been a member of the firm's Analytical Policy Board. A frequent speaker at industry conferences and often-quoted financial expert, Tuna has regularly provided expert commentaries for major news outlets including Barron's, Bloomberg, CNBC, CNN, The Financial Times, Fox Business Network, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal, as well numerous local U.S. periodicals, international outlets, and online publications. He has also been profiled repeatedly in the Black Enterprise Magazine, and selected by The Wall Street Journal as a “Best of the Street” analyst for his stellar work on media and entertainment stocks. Previously, Tuna was a Senior Equity Analyst at Lehman Brothers, New York, where he participated in key decisions by the firm's Investment Policy Committee. He was highly instrumental in managing a multi-capitalization equity portfolio, with primary focus on the Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) sectors. Earlier in his career, Tuna gained extensive global consulting experience at Arthur Andersen and KPMG. He earned an MBA (Finance) from the Strathclyde University Business School, Scotland, U.K, and B.Sc. (Accounting) from University of Nigeria, as well as LL.B. (JD). He is also a designated Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

 

Urs Cete serves as Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, L.P. Mr. Cete joined the Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments in 2006. He serves as the Principal and Head of Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments at Mojiva, Inc. Prior to BDMI, Mr. Cete worked in Bertelsmann AG's Corporate Controlling and Strategy Department, where he was in charge of group controlling and group strategy. In that capacity he worked on strategic projects in all of Bertelsmann's media categories (television, radio, music, books, magazines and services). Prior to that, he worked and lectured for the Finance Department of the Handelshochschule Leipzig specializing in Corporate Valuation. Mr. Cete serves as a Member of Advisory Board at BLUE LION mobile GmbH. He serves on the Boards of Skimlinks since November 11, 2011; Mojiva, Inc., Qeep and Exit Games. He holds an MBA from Tulane University and graduated from the Handelshochschule Leipzig.

 

Mark Boidman is a managing director at Peter J. Solomon Company (“PJSC”), a leading investment bank in New York City.   Mark is responsible for the firm’s digital media, marketing services, mobile and out-of-home media practices, including digital signage and digital out-of-home.  Prior to PJSC, he was at Barclays Capital (originally Lehman Brothers), where he was head of the firm’s Out-of-Home Advertising, TV Broadcasting and Radio coverage.  His clients have included Branded Cities, CBS Outdoor, Cox Enterprises, DirecTV, Discovery Communications, Fairway Media, Lionsgate Entertainment, RMG Networks, Scripps Networks, TiVo and Van Wagner.  Prior to Lehman, he was an attorney in the M&A Group at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.  Boidman received joint LL.B and B.C.L degrees from the Faculty of Law at McGill University. Prior to law school, he studied business at McGill’s Faculty of Management. He writes on digital media and out-of-home media trends, and serves on the board of the Digital Signage Federation.

 

Orlando Setola, Global FAS Leader, Technology, Media & Telecommunications, Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP:  Orlando is the global leader of the Deloitte Financial Advisory Services TMT practice and a principal with Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP.   He has 20 years of experience providing a wide range of valuation and transaction advisory services to leading technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) companies globally.  As an advisor to senior executives of TMT companies, he assists with developing and assessing strategic alternatives with an emphasis on shareholder value creation, reorganizations and growth through mergers and acquisitions. As the global leader of the technology, media, and technology teams of Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, he is responsible for the strategic direction of the practice and assisting clients with emerging sector issues and related strategic alternatives.  Orlando has substantial experience in the valuation of business enterprises, business interests, and tangible and intangible assets.  He has provided services, both on a domestic and global basis, for a range of valuation and transaction advisory purposes, including financial reporting, financial structuring advice, merger and acquisition analysis, tax and regulatory compliance, dispute resolution, strategic financial planning, and lease financing. Orlando has worked with virtually all sub-sectors of TMT including software technology, networking technology, fiber optic technology, cable operators, content providers, publishers, wireline, wireless and satellite service providers and communications infrastructure.
