Shalini Govil-Pai is a senior executive with over 15 years of experience building and commercializing rich media products.  Shalini is currently Group Manager, Partner Technologies & Strategy for Youtube & TV at Google, Inc. In this role, Shalini is responsible for working with partners to define the technical and business strategy for distribution and monetization of video based entertainment, that allows both partners & Google/Youtube to scale their business & business operations.  Prior to Google, Shalini was technical director at Pixar Animation, where she delivered the block buster films, Toy Story, and A Bug's Life. In the early days of Pixar, Shalini worked closely with advertising firms to develop award winning commercials for Fortune 100 customers including Gap, McDonalds, and Nabisco.  Shalini has a B.S in Computer Science from I.I.T., Bombay and a M.S. in Computer Science from the Pennsylvania State University.

 

CARYN WARD ROSS Actress/Producer Caryn Ward Ross portrayed Erica Harrison, a feisty and out-°©_spoken NFL wife on four seasons BET's comedy series “THE GAME.” Caryn's other television credits include co-°©_starring and recurring roles on HBO's ” Entourage”, “Lincoln Heights”, “The Shield”, “Friends” and “General Hospital”. Some of her feature film credits include “Motives” (Sony) opposite Vivica A. Fox and Shemar Moore and the romantic comedy, “He's Mine Not Yours” for Image Entertainment. Currently, Caryn is co-°©_producing and starring in the provocative noir drama, THE AFFAIR written and directed by filmmaker husband Craig Ross Jr. The Ross' are shooting the entire feature on the iphone 5 using only natural light, and plan to make digital filmmaking history by creating the first ever smart-°©_phone feature solely with existing light that is capable of being projected into a movie theater screen without loss of quality. Troy Byer, director/writer/executive producer, "I Really Hate My Ex," writer, “B*A*P*S*:  Troy Byer’s range of talent can be seen in everything she does. Whether acting, writing, directing or producing, her ability to excel at and leave an indelible mark in whatever field she chooses to undertake is undeniably evident. Her rich Hollywood history began as part of the original cast of the American television institution “Sesame Street.” She’s appeared in such films as Francis For Coppola’s “The Cotton Club” and “John Q” starring Denzel Washington. She wrote the film B*A*P*S*, starring Halle Berry, as well as “Love Don't Co$t a Thing,” for which she made history as the first woman of color to write and direct a studio-released film. She is the author of the Amazon best-selling self-help book "Ex-Free: The Freedom Action Plan," as well as the film inspired by it, "I Really Hate My Ex" (2014 release LionsGate).  Troy is currently working on her second book, “Between Husbands.” And when she is not writing, filming, busy earning her doctorate in Psychology, or giving advice as a regular on the Steve Harvey show, she can be found interacting with foster and transitional youth at Penny Lane (Los Angeles) or spending quality time with her husband, Christopher, their teenagers, Jordan and Brooke, and their two dogs, Enzo and Bronco.

 

 

Sharon Kopp, General Manager, Moviefone: Sharon Kopp joined Whalerock Industries as General Manager of Moviefone in May 2014. In her role, Kopp oversees all divisions of the recently reimagined entertainment brand including strategy, partnerships,  editorial, product development, marketing, and advertising.  Prior to joining Moviefone, Kopp served as Vice President, Content Distribution & Marketing for Viacom Media Networks where she was responsible for developing and implementing strategic relationships with cable operators and digital and mobile partners, including structuring, negotiating and executing deals, overseeing marketing efforts, as well as pursuing new distribution opportunities.  Kopp was previously Assistant General Counsel, Business and Legal Affairs for Verizon FiOS TV & V CAST Mobile Video.  She received her J.D. in 2001 from Fordham University School of Law and her B.A. in 1997 from Northwestern University.

 

 

Perrin Kaplan, Principal, Zebra Partners: Perrin is a marketing strategist with a diverse background in consumer entertainment marketing, politics and journalism. She drives strategic planning, corporate positioning, public policy and viral marketing efforts and is well entrenched in the gaming world. Prior to founding Zebra, Perrin was VP of Marketing and Corporate Affairs for Nintendo and oversaw many aspects of the internationally recognized marketing and public relations programs, including public affairs, investor relations and community relations. She also served as VP for The Rockey Company, a public relations firm; was in journalism with KING Broadcasting, Seattle’s NBC affiliate; and managed political communications for the state capitol and White House campaigns. Amy Beecroft, ‎CEO, New Films International:  Amy Beecroft has spent over 12 years in the international sales and distribution of feature films. After over three years at Toronto based Cinemavault Releasing as VP of International, Beecroft moved to Los Angeles and has worked for some of the most exciting companies in the international space.
