David Nathanson serves as General Manager and Chief Operating Officer for FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports 2, working closely with FOX Sports’ existing service departments, including programming and research, distribution, sales, marketing and communications to oversee the developing channels in his charge.  He also continues to manage FOX Soccer Plus, the leading premium international sports network.  In his former position, Nathanson served as General Manager and Executive Vice President of FOX Soccer, helping spearhead FOX Sports’ FIFA World Cup rights acquisition in 2011.  Under his leadership, FOX Soccer was the nation’s leading television destination for domestic and international soccer, offering more than 1,700 annual hours of live matches, highlight programs, talk shows, nightly newscasts and original series including the Emmy-nominated, BEING:  LIVERPOOL.  FOXSoccer.com also was the most-visited soccer website in the U.S., while FOXSoccer.tv was the leading premium broadband video portal dedicated to live soccer coverage. Nathanson joined FOX Soccer in January 2010 after previously serving as President of Television Games Network from 2005 to 2009. Under his leadership, TVG became the largest legal Internet gaming provider in the United States and one of the most widely distributed niche sports networks on television worldwide. After years of growth in revenue and distribution, Nathanson led the sale of TVG to Betfair Group LTD in 2009. Prior to leading TVG, Nathanson worked at News Corporation in various increasingly responsible capacities, starting in 1999 as Director of Marketing for New Media.  In 2001, he was promoted to Director, Broadband Strategy and Channel Development for Fox Cable Networks, and became Vice President, Advanced Services and Channel Development in 2002. Throughout most of his original tenure at FOX, Nathanson  served as General Manager of FOX College Sports.  In 2004, he launched FOX Reality Channel as Vice President, Business and Operations, a role in which he remained until moving to TVG in 2005. Before joining FOX, Nathanson worked for Cablevision Systems  and Comcast Corporation. Nathanson earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with honors. He also holds an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.

 

Jeff Husvar, President | Media Group: As President of Lagardère Unlimited’s Media Group, Jeff Husvar oversees the company’s media business which includes leading its plans for growth and expansion. Husvar has over two decades of experience in the sports media industry.  He joined FOX Sports in 2005 from CBS Digital Media and served in several capacities over ten years.  As a member of FOX Sports Executive team, Husvar had oversight of all operating and revenue metrics for the Group’s businesses.  He took a leadership role in acquisitions and the management of strategic partnerships, and led the transition from FIM to FOX Networks Group. Most recently, as Executive Vice President of Strategy and Development for FOX Sport Media Group, he was the principal liaison with technology and digital media companies including Microsoft, Google, Adobe, SONY, Facebook and Twitter. Prior to this, Husvar served as Executive Vice President/General Manager of FOX’s portfolio of digital sports properties, achieving over 35 million ComScore Uniques monthly.  He was also responsible for more than $100 million in revenue and 200 employees across the U.S. Husvar earned a Bachelor of Science from Rollins College in Florida where he played on the tennis team for two years. A bad shoulder and lack of talent pushed Jeff into golf, to which he is now hopelessly addicted.

 

David Katz is the Founder and CEO of ThePostGame, one of the fastest growing sports media companies in the United States. The company also owns and operates ThePostGame Network, one of the largest sports multi-channel networks (MCN) on YouTube.  Prior to his entrepreneurial venture, Katz was a senior executive at Yahoo!, managing all aspects of the portal’s key content sites – Sports, Movies, Television, and creating the original programming division called Y! Studios. Under Katz’s stewardship, Yahoo! Sports revenue increased 800% in just two years and traffic grew to record levels, beating ESPN.com for the first time in its history to become the most visited sports site on the Internet. Before Yahoo!, Katz spent 8 years at CBS Television, working directly for Chairman and CEO Leslie Moonves. At CBS, Katz ran the Strategic Planning and Interactive Ventures division, managing the television network’s business strategy as well as having operating control over the high-growth digital division. While in this role, he was instrumental in streaming the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament online for the first time, and worked on the deal for CBS Sportsline to manage the NFL.com website. Katz started his career as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, working on a variety of strategic projects for Fortune 100 companies. Katz earned his Master’s Degree from Cambridge University with First Class Honours and his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business where he finished top in his class earning the “Dean’s Award of Excellence.” Katz also played on the University of Pennsylvania’s basketball team. In 2006 and 2011, Katz was named to the Sports Business Journal’s “Top 40 Under 40” in the world of sports. In 2001, Katz was named to the Hollywood Reporter's "Next Generation" list. Katz currently serves on the Advisory Boards of the World Congress of Sports, USC’s Center for the Digital Future and the Wharton Sports Business Initiative.
