Scott L Brown, SVP Global Engineering & Strategic Relations, The Nielsen Company: Scott L. Brown serves as Senior Vice President, Global Communications, Client Insights & Strategic Relations for Nielsen. In this role, Scott is a frequent speaker and sought after visionary for impending changes to the media landscape, the impact of new technology, and for the path of new advertising models. Scott is responsible for client insights and communications, strategic business relationships, and works with media strategy and digital platform development for the company. Scott focuses much of his time on establishing and managing business relationships with advanced technology and new media companies. He is the key company spokesperson for evolving television technologies, advanced metering systems, and new technology development. Scott provides the internal

and external company vision and leadership for the new world of digital convergence, connected TV technology, and multi platform measurement, etc. Scott, is a veteran of Nielsen, with roots going back to Advanced Software Systems Design, progressing into Senior Operations Management, and then into his current position with Nielsen. Scott's expertise is grounded in technology, the implications for Nielsen measurement, coupled with a deep client following on what is relevant in the media world. Scott is frequently asked to forecast the future for major advertisers, and media companies. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters Degree from Illinois State University.

 

Jennifer A. Perry, Vice President of Worldwide Publishing, Sesame Workshop: Jennifer A. Perry manages content creation for print and digital media as Vice President of Worldwide Publishing at Sesame Workshop, the educational non-profit organization that produces Sesame Street.  Perry oversees the Workshop’s more than two dozen publishing partnerships that bring millions of Sesame Street books to children around the world. She led the Workshop’s ventures into digital publishing balancing the potential innovation and audience reach of new technologies and platforms with educational impact. She has directed the transformation of some of the most beloved Sesame Street titles, such as The Monster at the End of This Book, into chart topping apps. Many of Perry's Sesame Street digital products have won industry awards. Perry has also worked in the publishing, museum, and education fields developing meaningful content for a wide range of audiences.

 

Alex Limberis, VP, Business Development, Next Issue Media: Next Issue Media is a startup chartered to bring the next generation of interactive digital periodicals to the market. Next Issue Media is funded by a consortium of 5 major publishers Conde Nast, Hearst, Newscorp, Meredith and Time Inc. Mr. Limberis is a 20+ year veteran in data communications and media technologies. Prior to joining Next Issue Media, he was the Chief Operating of Syabas technology a leading provider of app platform based IP set top boxes, he was also the Director of Wireless, Broadband and Consumer Electronics in Microsoft's Digital Media Division where he drove Microsoft's success in the ubiquitous adoption of Windows Media into the consumer electronics, wireless and broadband ecosystems including, Mobile, IPTV, MP3 players and music and video services such as Verizon, Tivo, Amazon and Netflix. He drove Microsoft to join the DVD Forum and then served on the DVD Forum steering committee which resulted in the adoption of Windows Media into the HD-DVD and Blu-ray standards. Mr. Limberis also served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Dolby Labs where he defined Dolby's strategy to enter the networked entertainment ecosystems. Previously he was a VP at PMI (acquired by Microsoft), VP of Strategic Marketing at Aureal Semiconductor (acquired by Creative Labs), VP and GM at Korg (Yamaha), and a founder of Ensoniq (acquired by Creative Labs). Mr. Limberis holds several patents in the DSP and media fields. He was a BSEE major at Drexel University and holds an MBA from Santa Clara University.

 

Scott Kinzie is the VP of Marketing for issuu where he’s involved in transforming the way readers discover and engage with publications online and how publishers distribute and monetize content.  Scott oversees all aspects of marketing including increasing digital engagement across platforms, as well as developing audience and objective centric messaging and creative as applied to all media. Scott has nearly 20 years of experience working in marketing and creative director roles. Prior to issuu, he held executive roles with RelayRides and Ancestry.com

 

Bernie Davis, Partner Relations Director, SmartNews:  With over 15 years digital media experience, my background includes advertising sales, brand marketing, audience development, product strategy with a focus on platform development for enabling mobile, video and social media solutions.  My extensive experience working on large consumer and trade web sites, as well as within startups, has given me hands-on oversight over key revenue and growth opportunities in digital enterprise. Strengths and passions include entrepreneurial drive, strategic vision/execution, account development, and strategic partnership development.

 

Ted Cohen, Managing Partner, TAG Strategic: industry luminary and former, Vice President, Digital Development & Distribution, EMI Music: As Vice President of Digital Development & Distribution for EMI Music, Ted Cohen oversaw worldwide digital business development for this "big five" record company, which includes labels such as Capitol, Virgin, Angel/Blue Note, Parlophone and Chrysalis. Under Cohen's guidance, EMI has led the industry with its initiatives in new technologies and business models such as digital downloads, online music subscriptions, custom compilations, wireless services, high-definition audio and Internet radio. In addition to seeking out, evaluating and executing business opportunities for the company, Cohen serves as both a strategist and key decision-maker for EMI's global new media and anti-piracy efforts. He has worked to establish company-wide policies, which have allowed EMI's artists and labels a substantial advantage in the digital music arena. Cohen served previously as the Executive Vice President of Digital Music Network Inc., where he co-founded and served as Chairman of the Webnoize '98 & '99 conferences. He currently chairs MidemNet, an international music/technology conference convened in Cannes each year. Cohen also held senior management positions at both Warner Bros. Records and Philips Media. Additionally, Cohen lead two highly successful new media consulting operations, DMN Consulting and Consulting Adults, attracting clients such as Amazon.com, Microsoft, Universal Studios New Media, DreamWorks Records, Liquid Audio, Wherehouse Records/Checkout.com and several other entertainment, computer and new media organizations. A 25-year industry veteran, Cohen serves on the NARAS (Grammy) Los Angeles chapter Board of Governors, the Board of Directors for the Neil Bogart Memorial Fund, Co-chairs the new media arm of the T.J. Martell Foundation, and lends his time and talents to the Grammy In The Schools Program.
