Chia Chen, Senior Vice President/North American Mobile Practice Lead, DigitasLBi:  As SVP and North American Mobile Practice Lead, Chia works across the DigitasLBi network of clients including Sprint, American Express, Delta Air Lines, General Motors, Whirlpool, and Taco Bell. He also works alongside other members of the DigitasLBi leadership team to ensure that mobile is at the forefront of the DigitasLBi offering and value proposition.  Chia has always been on the forefront of marketing applications of digital technologies. He has over 15 years of experience working with clients to achieve business results and build customer relationships through digital channels.  In addition to his work in the

mobile space, his interactive experience spans online strategy, online marketing, site design, website implementation, measurement and traffic building.  Clients Chia has served include:  AT&T, Visa International, Coors Brewing Company, Delta Air Lines, MINI USA and Unilever.  Chia holds a B.A. in History and Science from Harvard University.

 

TYLER SLOCUM, Director of Mobile Product for the National Football League: Tyler Slocum is a three-time Emmy® Award-winning digital media and entertainment executive and current Director of Mobile Product for the National Football League.  Slocum’s responsibilities include ongoing design and development oversight for a range of domestic and internationally available smartphone and tablet applications including the current NFL Mobile app. Prior to joining the NFL, Slocum spent over eleven years at DIRECTV where he lead the general iTV, interactive sports, advertising, mobile, and VOD verticals as VP of Product Management within the Advanced Services group.  While at DIRECTV, Slocum launched the DIRECTV iPad app with live in-home channel streaming, DIRECTV Nomad (DVR-to-mobile device video downloader) and pre-launch development for DIRECTV Everywhere.  Slocum is credited with launching interactive advertising at DIRECTV with the introduction of a 24/7 client-sponsored linear interactive channel and securing long-term financial commitments by developing a partner program with major advertisers including DaimlerChrysler, P&G and Bank of America.  Slocum developed the first series of on-screen data enhancements for DIRECTV’s exclusive NFL SUNDAY TICKET package and pioneered some of the industry’s first T-Commerce and DVR-based services.  Prior to DIRECTV, Slocum held both project and product management roles at Hughes Space and Communications and Northrop Grumman.  Slocum earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from California State University-Long Beach.

 

John Shapiro is a Group Product Manager on QuickBooks Online at Intuit. His team is focused on creating workflows to deliver the operating system behind small business success. John previously worked to deploy a personalization platform in to ensure that each user has a customized experience tailored to their specific accounting needs. Before Intuit, John spent more than five years at Adobe in a variety of product management roles, including serving as the original product manager for Adobe Creative Cloud, the next generation of Adobe's Creative Suite. John also used Lean Startup methodology to help drive Adobe's expansion into consumer photo mobile and tablet apps. He oversaw the creation and release of Adobe Wave, a notification platform that let publishers and developers reach users directly on their desktops and mobile devices. Prior to Adobe, John founded two startups, one in online advertising and one in home entertainment devices. He also spent time at Google working on Google Desktop, where he envisioned and built a way to passively view interesting imagery from Google Maps, and IBM. John holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Computer Science from Stanford University.

 

Alex Limberis, VP, Business Development, Next Issue Media: Next Issue Media is a startup chartered to bring the next generation of interactive digital periodicals to the market. Next Issue Media is funded by a consortium of 5 major publishers Conde Nast, Hearst, Newscorp, Meredith and Time Inc. Mr. Limberis is a 20+ year veteran in data communications and media technologies. Prior to joining Next Issue Media, he was the Chief Operating of Syabas technology a leading provider of app platform based IP set top boxes, he was also the Director of Wireless, Broadband and Consumer Electronics in Microsoft's Digital Media Division where he drove Microsoft's success in the ubiquitous adoption of Windows Media into the consumer electronics, wireless and broadband ecosystems including, Mobile, IPTV, MP3 players and music and video services such as Verizon, Tivo, Amazon and Netflix. He drove Microsoft to join the DVD Forum and then served on the DVD Forum steering committee which resulted in the adoption of Windows Media into the HD-DVD and Blu-ray standards. Mr. Limberis also served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Dolby Labs where he defined Dolby's strategy to enter the networked entertainment ecosystems. Previously he was a VP at PMI (acquired by Microsoft), VP of Strategic Marketing at Aureal Semiconductor (acquired by Creative Labs), VP and GM at Korg (Yamaha), and a founder of Ensoniq (acquired by Creative Labs). Mr. Limberis holds several patents in the DSP and media fields. He was a BSEE major at Drexel University and holds an MBA from Santa Clara University.

 

Craig Wigginton is vice chairman, the U.S. Telecommunications sector leader and a partner with Deloitte & Touche LLP. He brings nearly 25 years of experience leading large, complex accounts across the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) industry, with particular emphasis in the telecommunications sector. Craig's principal focus has been providing audit, attest and enterprise risk services to both large and emerging companies. Additionally, he has led the integration of a range of Deloitte services, including tax, consulting and financial advisory. Craig specializes across numerous channels in the telecom and broader TMT ecosystem, including: o Mobile carriers o Traditional wireline o Cable o Handset manufacturers o Cloud/data centers o Equipment manufacturers o Infrastructure ownership/management (i.e. tower companies) o Software; As a key advisor to senior executives of telecom companies, he assists with developing strategic solutions to current critical sector issues, including: o Rapid sector consolidation, including mergers and acquisitions o The emergence of non-traditional entrants into the telecommunications ecosystem, including cable and Internet companies o The continued explosion of data consumption and proliferation of smart devices and the rise of “the apps economy” o The development of value-added services and new business models for carriers; o The return of value to shareholders, both through core operations as well as convergence and value added opportunities; In addition, a key area of focus for Craig is helping telecom companies explore growth opportunities through vertical markets that are now heavily leveraging mobile technologies, including health care, banking, mobile payments and retail. During his tenure with Deloitte, Craig has developed a number of initiatives designed to help telecommunications companies thrive in a variety of market conditions. In past years, he has led Deloitte's points of view around industry related technical accounting positions and auditing approach, conducted Web conferences, spearheaded the development of content related to internal control databases, and has worked with major global telecommunications companies to assess U.S. GAAP and SEC issues for entities associated with the U.S. capital markets. Craig is a frequent speaker on telecom issues at major conferences and is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York, New Jersey, and Hawaii State Societies of Certified Public Accountants. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Foundation for New Jersey Public Broadcasting (formerly NJN). He holds a degree in accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
